Maid Service Subscription in Dubai: How It Works

·1 October 2026·11 min read·Maid Services
A bright, spotless Dubai villa kitchen and living area kept effortlessly fresh by a regular housekeeping plan

A maid service subscription is simply a regular cleaning slot you set once and stop thinking about. The same trusted cleaner comes to your home on the same day each week, the rate is lower than booking visit by visit, and everything around it, the travel, the products if you want them, a replacement when your cleaner is off, is handled by us rather than by you.

This guide covers how our subscription works, what it costs, what you can and cannot ask your cleaner to do, and the things that make a plan genuinely hands-off: covered transport, sick cover, and no visa paperwork of any kind.

Why a subscription beats booking each time

Booking a cleaner one visit at a time works, but it quietly costs you more in money and effort than a plan does.

  • The same cleaner, every visit. Your dedicated cleaner learns your home, where things live and how you like them done. By the third or fourth visit they are working to your standard without being asked. A one-off booking is a stranger starting from scratch each time.
  • A lower rate the more often we come. Pay-as-you-go is the full hourly rate. A subscription brings it down step by step, to as little as 28 AED an hour.
  • Your slot is held for you. A fixed day and time is reserved in our schedule, so you are not competing for a spot in a busy week. Move-in season and the weeks either side of a holiday fill up fast for everyone, and a plan means you are already in the diary.
  • Nothing to organise. No message every week, no renegotiating the price, no wondering who is turning up. It runs on its own until you tell us to change it.

What a maid subscription costs in Dubai

Our rate starts at 40 AED an hour when you provide the cleaning products, or 50 AED an hour when we bring everything. On a regular plan, the more often we visit, the lower the hourly rate goes.

PlanHow oftenRate (you provide products)You save
One-timeA single visit40 AED/hrPay as you go
WeeklyOnce a week36 AED/hr10%
Twice weeklyTwo visits a week32 AED/hr20%
Three times a weekThree visits a week28 AED/hr30%

A few honest details so there are no surprises:

  • The plan discounts apply on sessions of three hours or more. Shorter visits are welcome, they simply do not carry the recurring discount.
  • A single one-off visit has a two-hour minimum.
  • Every rate includes VAT, and the price we confirm is the price you pay.
  • Prefer us to supply the products? The same plan structure applies on the 50 AED base, so a three-times-a-week plan works out at 35 AED an hour.
  • Larger villas can have two or more cleaners on the same visit to get the home done faster. The price scales per cleaner.

You can see all four plans side by side on our cleaning plans page, or get an instant estimate for your own home through the booking form.

What you can ask your cleaner to do

A housekeeping visit covers the regular upkeep that keeps a home in order:

  • Dusting surfaces, skirting boards and light fittings
  • Vacuuming and mopping throughout
  • Kitchen cleaning, counters, stovetop, sink and appliance exteriors
  • Bathrooms cleaned and sanitised, toilet, basin, shower or tub, mirrors
  • Making beds and changing linen you leave out
  • Tidying the living areas and emptying bins

And a few things people often want added, which we are glad to fold into a visit:

  • Cleaning inside the oven, fridge or cupboards
  • Laundry folding
  • Ironing, which runs as its own service and slots neatly into the same visit
  • Interior windows, with exterior glass handled by our window cleaning team

If you are not sure whether something is included, just ask when you book. The simple rule is that if it is cleaning or tidying your home, it is part of what we do.

What a cleaning company does not do, and why it protects you

Here is the one thing worth understanding properly, because it is where a lot of households in Dubai get caught out without realising.

We are a licensed cleaning company, so our team cleans. What we do not do is cook, provide childcare or nanny duties, or care for the elderly or for pets beyond tidying up after them. That is not us being unhelpful. Those are domestic-worker roles, and under UAE law they sit in a completely separate category from cleaning services, with their own licensing and sponsorship through a Tadbeer centre.

Why this matters to you:

  • A cleaning company's staff are employed and sponsored by the company to provide cleaning services. Asking them to cook or mind children puts both you and the worker outside what the law allows.
  • Hiring a cleaner privately, an individual on a visit visa, on someone else's sponsorship, or working freelance, is not legal in the UAE, and the penalties for employing someone without the right permit are serious, reportedly from AED 50,000 upward.
  • Booking through a licensed company removes all of that. The worker is vetted, employed and sponsored by us, the service is within the law, and the responsibility sits with the company rather than with you.

So when we say we only clean, read it as what it is: we keep the arrangement correct, so you get reliable help with none of the legal exposure. If you genuinely need cooking or childcare, the right route is a domestic worker through a Tadbeer centre, and we would always tell you that honestly rather than quietly step outside our remit.

If your cleaner is off sick, you are still covered

Life happens, and sometimes a cleaner is unwell. On a one-off booking that usually means a cancelled visit and a scramble to rearrange your week. On a subscription it does not.

If your regular cleaner is ever off sick, we arrange a replacement where one is available, so your slot is covered and your home stays on schedule. The cover cleaner works to the same standard and the same brief, and your dedicated cleaner returns to you as soon as they are back. It depends on who is free on the day, so we cannot promise cover in every single case, but keeping your week running is exactly what a plan is for, and it is one of the biggest practical differences between a subscription and booking ad hoc.

Transport is on us, so it is genuinely headache-free

This one sounds small and is not. With a subscription, we cover the cleaner's transport to and from your home. There is no call-out charge, no travel fee, and nothing for you to arrange. The cleaner simply arrives on the day, at the time, ready to work.

It means the rate you see is the whole cost. It also means your plan does not depend on your cleaner sorting out their own way across Dubai each morning, which is one more thing that can go wrong with an informal arrangement and never does with ours. We run our own routes across the villa communities, which is why a fixed weekly slot holds reliably week after week.

Starting, changing and pausing your plan

A subscription should be easy to live with, so it is easy to change:

  • Skip a session with 48 hours notice and it is deferred, not lost.
  • Reschedule with 24 hours notice at no charge.
  • Pause when you travel for the summer, then pick up where you left off.
  • Cancel the subscription with 28 days written notice. There is no long lock-in, the plan runs because it suits you, not because you are tied to it.

Setting it up is one message. Tell us your preferred day and time, whether you would like us during school hours while the house is empty, how many hours you want, and whether you will provide products or would like us to. We confirm your cleaner and your slot, and from then on it simply runs.

Is it worth it?

For most family homes in Dubai, yes, and the maths is straightforward. A weekly three-hour visit at 36 AED an hour keeps a villa genuinely on top of the dust this climate throws at it, for less than the cost of letting it slide and paying for a big reset every couple of months. Step up to twice or three times a week and the hourly rate drops further while the home barely needs thinking about.

More than that, a subscription turns cleaning from a recurring decision into a thing that is simply handled. Same cleaner, covered transport, sick cover arranged, no paperwork, no legal risk, and a rate that rewards you for keeping it regular.

Frequently asked questions

What is a maid service subscription?

It is a regular cleaning plan rather than a one-off booking. The same dedicated cleaner comes to your home on a fixed schedule, weekly, twice weekly or three times a week, at a lower hourly rate than a single visit, with transport covered and your slot held for you. You set it once and it runs until you change it.

How much does a maid subscription cost in Dubai?

From 40 AED an hour for a weekly plan down to 28 AED an hour three times a week, when you provide the cleaning products, or from 50 AED an hour down to 35 when we supply them. Plan discounts apply on sessions of three hours or more, and every rate includes VAT. A one-off visit is 40 AED an hour with a two-hour minimum.

Can I have the same cleaner every week?

Yes, that is the point of a subscription. We assign a dedicated cleaner to your home who keeps the same slot and learns exactly how you like things done. If they are ever off sick, we arrange a replacement where one is available and your regular cleaner returns as soon as they are back.

Can the maid cook or look after my children?

No. We are a licensed cleaning company, so our team provides cleaning and housekeeping only. Cooking, childcare and similar personal duties are domestic-worker roles under UAE law, which fall under separate licensing and sponsorship through a Tadbeer centre. Booking cleaning through a licensed company keeps the arrangement legal and keeps the risk off you.

What happens if my cleaner is sick?

On a subscription we arrange a replacement cleaner where one is available on the day, so your slot stays covered rather than cancelled. The cover cleaner works to the same brief, and your dedicated cleaner comes back once they are well. It depends on availability, but keeping your week running is exactly what a plan is designed to do.

Is transport included, or is there a call-out fee?

Transport is included. We cover the cleaner's travel to and from your home, there is no call-out or travel fee, and nothing for you to arrange. The rate you are quoted is the full cost of the visit.

Can I pause my plan when I travel?

Yes. Skip a session with 48 hours notice and it is deferred, or pause the whole plan while you are away for the summer and resume when you are back. There is no penalty for pausing, and cancelling the subscription needs 28 days written notice.

Do I need to sponsor a visa or sign a long contract?

No to both. The cleaner is employed and sponsored by us, so there is no visa, no paperwork and no sponsorship on your side, unlike hiring a full-time live-in maid. And there is no long lock-in, you can change, pause or cancel your plan with notice whenever it suits you.
